Creative Mask for talkitive person

This is an iron mask that has been used for punishing women who harangue, badger, gossip or otherwise make themselves obnoxious to men by being to talkative. It was used in 16th century England and Scotland as a disciplinary measure, the guilty woman would have had this contraption locked over her head for an extended period of time. Humiliating and painful, the close-up shows how it fits over the nose and into the mouth.
